This is a great kettle for boiling water. Being glass, you can see the action and be prepared to respond when the kettle is ready, and the glass clarity allows you to see how much water you're putting in and if it's adequate. I used a Cuisinart stainless steel kettle for years, and while solid quality that never failed, I wanted to be able to see how much water I filled it with. 16 ou. for a 6 ou. cup of tea is absurd, but very much an event in my daily life until after several years of use, I could judge the approximate amount by the kettle's weight in my hand.But bravo! those days are gone!Not important, but it looks cool on the counter instead of old fashioned, is a breeze to use and clean and functions perfectly! I chose this model specifically because he lid comes all the way off, allowing ease of cleaning.If you want an easy kettle to use, and to see how much water you've set boil, try this kettle and I am betting, you won't regret it.

Product is exactly as stated. I was a microwave girl for boiling my tea water one cup at a time. I love steeped tea, up to 6 minutes actually and this pot allows me to make two cups at once which I'm loving. Boils water super fast and love the fact that it shuts off automatically. I'd have to keep an eye on my mug in the microwave to make sure the water wouldn't boil over. Now I just turn it on and am able to go make the bed and not worry. Easy to clean unlike the tea pot I tried months back (which I bought so I could make more than a cup at a time in the microwave). The quality is very good and it's easy to store in the pantry when not in use. Really good value for it's cost. Happy with this purchase and would suggest this to anyone thinking about a tea pot instead.

The kettle works great. It's quick. I love how it lights up and turns off automatically. The bottom doesn't get hot so I can take it right off the stand and put it down wherever it needs to go. The lid is clever. It retains the steam but lets water pour through. Definitely recommend. Great value.I'm adding one negative but I won't take a star for it. They have a place to wrap the cord when not in use but it never wraps evenly so it's only good for shortening the cord. A lot hangs out still. Just a nitpick that a lot of products have.

I bought this for my job. A lot of people use it and everyone loves it. Super easy to clean. The water heats up quick. I use it to a lot in the office. For heating water for my coffee and making tea. Just let it dry too after you wash. The light remains on when it's plugged in which great. Holds a lot of water at a time. The price is also really great. It's also very durable because its used a lot and hasn't has an issue. Also doesn't have any issue with smell.

It's stylish, smooth contour, feels solid, top snaps in nicely. H2O boils in about 8min for full pot. One thing that troubles me is the power cord and plug. They get warm and that suggests to me the wire gauge might be a bit low for 1500 W application. It says it's UL 1082 and my understanding is some appliances in 1082 require a ground. This unit does not have grounded plug perhaps it's exempt. See my pics the temperature at the plug started at 78.8F OFF the ON 3 minutes 85.5F at 6 minutes it's 89.4. it maxed at just under 92F when shutting OFF at about 8 minutes. The cord and plug are warm to the touch . Other than that it works well.

Excellent product. works as described. boils water super fast

So far working extremely well, good quality for cost. Boils faster than our previous model, went from slightly cold water filter water to warm in 1 min 30sec for 1.8L tap/filtered water. Visible low boil about 3 min 30, rolling boil at 7mins, strong enough Boil to trip the sensor around 7min 45 which would be an overflowing pot on the stove, but well contained with lid. The viewing area can get slightly hot but in a you touch it, feel it's hot, and pull away without a burn level. And it's actually fun to watch... a watched pot definitely boils and the water and sound in combination with the light is oddly entertaining/soothing. Also big plus the light is only on when it's boiling so no annoying night glow.Great purchase now just to see if it will last a decade plus like it's predecessor.

This is a great water kettle. It takes about 3 minutes to boil. What I really like is that I was a little ways away and forgot about it for a minute and the kettle turned off by itself once it came to a rolling boil. It is easy to turn on and off with a little flip of the lever towards the bottom of the pot. Good for tea and hot chocolate!
