Yes - I use it in the pool and in dehumidifiers. It's much cheaper!

Q: How is this item supplied and recommended to be subsequently kept if it absorbs so much water?

Arrived packaged in strong double plastic bag inside cardboard box. 5kg isn’t a massive sack, more like a large laptop size so doesn’t take loads of storage. Keep the plastic secure once opened and mine is ok. A plastic bucket with tight lid would be great when not in use. I use mine as natural dehumidifier by putting some scoops in a flower pot with holes rested over a kilner jar or vase to collect water. Takes a few days to collect an inch of water but helps. If major damp home use a low electric dehumidifier as collects a lot more water….
