Dixon high C, with plastic mouthpiece.
This is my fifth twistle, and one that I enjoy playing.Unlike the others this excels on the second octave, and above, where the tone is sweet and not at all shreaky/harsh.It is my choice to practice/learn tunes with high A and above, as it less painful to the ears. The lowest notes can be hard to make, and are quiet in comparison. Not in the same league as a low D !It requires minimal airflow, and I can play longer sections without the need to take a breath. The mouthpiece was not a tight fit, so after tuning it I glued it permanently in place.I found with such a small instrument I naturally find it most comfortable with the mouthpiece slightly twisted to one side ?The finger spacing is as tight as my hands can accommodate. This is my first plastic mouthpiece, which I have no strong +/- feelings about. (No teeth marks yet)It sorts all the sharps/flats out that I have tried, with no change in normal fingering positions. The best asset is the sound, which to repeat is mellow, crisp, smooth and in tune, especially high up.

a very good whistle
lovely tone and quality feel to this whistle. I play professionally and have tried a few! Only tiny fault is the little bit more of an overblow you need for the top octave - but I'm getting used to it. It doesn't have the mellowness of an Overton, but it nearly does, and it's certainly easier to play.worth the bit extra.
