Best tape measure I own, and I own SEVERAL. Saw this unit in a YouTube video and bought it right then. Excellent, easy to read, bold numbers on both sides. A nice tape hold on the bottom of the tape for your index finger. A pencil sharpener and pad to write on on the side. Only thing this tape is missing is a coffee making feature. At $7.99 it’s a no brainer, wayyyyyyy better features than my other red or yellow brand tapes. Just a damn good value

I've been lugging around a cumbersome, fat, 25ft tape measure for finish work, and realized I rarely need any measurement over 16ft for finish work. Then I found this little guy at the recommendation from some finish carpenters. It's great! It has every 16th measured out in its common measurement (1/16, 1/8, 3/16, 1/4, etc.). I don't really need that due to years of conditioning reading a tape measure, but I find it oddly nice to have there. There's a writing surface which is handy for recording measurements, and even a pencil sharpener. I use a Pica-Dry, so have no need for this, but in a pinch I could see how it would come in handy. I did try it out and it didn't seem to be the most ideal sharpener.The stop action is nice. There's a quick hold-down stop, as well as a locking stop. The retraction coil on the tape measure is quite strong, so be careful letting it fly back into the base. Don't let the cheap price fool you. It's awesome.

Absolutely love this tape! I have been doing fine carpentry/cabinetry for over 20 years. The lines on other tapes are starting to blur with age. I can clearly read this tape from all angles. It is dead on accurate. Very light weight. The stop on the bottom and side pencil sharpener are very nice. I just wish the actual tape was a little wider. I ruin other name brand tape measures within 2 months from constant use. These last me about 4 months. Will continue to buy. Fast Cap makes quality products, i know from years of use in the field and shop.

I bought this tape measure on the recommendation from "the woodsmith store" and a few others. I have to say I really like this product. I like the different features like being able to write with pencil on the tape and white circle on the side. When your done writing on the tape the pencil comes completely off. All my other tape measures the pencil marks were hard to see if they showed up at all. The tape extends smooth and returns well. The bottom brake works well and so does the top thumb stop. The belt clip is a nice design. It uses a thumb clip instead of the normal belt clip. It's way easier to to use this tape measure then all the others that I have used in woodworking. I love it so far. I totally recommend this product. I am definitely getting the flat one next.

Good price but the main inches are hard to read and could be 50% bigger.Pros:- Functions like most tape measures.- Retraction back to casing is firm- Numbering is fairly accurate and the smallest fractions well laid outCons:- Belt clip is stiff and will break off eventually at the join as it is only attached to the body via plastic rivet weld to the body.- Body could be a little more square at the back/base when needing to use the extra 3” body allowance.- Friction button on the bottom could be wider for better location and ease of use- Main inch numbers could be bigger and better contrast for easier reading. Outline around the numbers would be better if circular instead of rounded square
