Does way more than I currently need, but it helped me to diagnosis and repair a truck that had many allusive systems. As I always say.....Better to have it and not need it than to need it and not have it! It works with basically every "modern" vehicle manufactured in the free world, and probably many others made where you would never want to live.I am still learning what all it can do and will do for me in the future with more modern vehicles. And the best value is that there is no subscriptions to keep the software up to date.

I found this OBD2 scanner to be better than others I tried at a similar price. This device, and the others, were supposed to read and reset reminders (oil, service, etc.) for both Porsches and Mercedes-Benz cars (I have both) as well as all domestic cars. An iCarSoft scanner I bought for $319 could not reset the oil reminder - the principal reason for which I bought it. This ThinkCar scanner had no problem doing it. In addition, error code information is much more clear and it will do a Google search for help on any error code. This is a quality scanner for a DYIer. Well worth the cost.

It did not work with a 2001 chev diesel the data line pins are different orientation and all you get is a blank screen. They claim it will work with all obd2. I guess that they did not examine pin layout on older obd2 autos. Would it work with a blue tooth adapter?

The best scanner I have ever owned

Couldn't use the airbag reset or the key reprogramming for my vehicle my other programmer does this easily. Doesnt work with my 2004 Chevy 3500. Device itself is built well.
