Q: Can someone recommend replacement bags?

We use Foodsaver but I think any sealable roll bags would work. You can cut it to any size you need right in the machine. We used to have a Foodsaver machine but like this one much better. And it is less expensive too which is always nice. We had some leftover Foodsaver bags and they work fine.

Q: I am not able to get this to work Is there a trick to the vacuum/seal?

I don’t know I sent it back. Decided to get new seals for my other one.

Q: What does up to 30 consecutive seals mean? What happend after 30? And 'there will be a replacement sealing sponge'- do they wear out?

It simply means that you "should" be able to vac & seal 30 bags, before you have to stop to let it cool down. I make the bags, fill them & then do the vacuum - seal on them. . . --- Some people just fill & seal each bag separately.

Q: Can I vacuum-seal warm prepared meals or I must wait until they are cold?

I only sealed cold or room temperature items.
