These were the perfect gift for a retirement party I attended of a friend that has served in the Air Force.Good value for the money. I was afraid they would look too cheap but they did not.It was well received!

We got these shot glasses for my father-in-law for Christmas, and they were A HUGE hit! My FIL was in the Air Force when he was younger, and now he collects various pieces of memorabilia. When he saw these shot glasses, he almost cried. He got that look in his eyes...the one where you can see somebody go to another place and time in their head. That's a very beautiful thing to see...and these shot glasses are credited for that. He loved them! They are very well made and very sturdy. And I know that every time he sees them, that they will bring memories from a different time. Definitely recommended for any collector!

A rather unique product. Not sure where the 50 Caliber identification comes from, but that is neither the size nor material. They aren't brass or brass colored, much larger than 50 Caliber in diameter, and glazed. As noted in the description, the capacity is approximately 2 ounces. The last photo in the listing matches pretty closely to the items I received, particularly the bottom. The first images show a very smooth and shiny rim, but the last image shows a rough surface on the bottom of the rim, consistent with the items I received. These glasses would make a nice commemorative set for display.

With my husband being a military veteran, he has decided to collect shot glasses for each of the branches of military to make a display in his shop. His favorite gun in the military was the 50 Cal rifle. So, I saw these and wanted to get them as a start for that display he wants to build. The Gold is amazing the inside of the shot glass is black, so the color combination goes great together. His Dad and his uncle were both in the air force, so they liked the idea of the display to show his support of the military. The shot glasses are heavy and a pretty good size. The package they come in is a very small box with just bubble wrap around them for the packing I would probably suggest they be packed with Styrofoam, to prevent being broken just in case it is dropped during shipping.

These glasses would definitely look nice in a display. They are made from ceramic and are about as thick as the steins I brought home from Germany. Also being ceramic, I don't recommend being too enthusiastic with toasts or Prost!How awesome would it have been to be actual brass casing from say the main gun of an A-10 or other aircraft? There might be issues or corrosion or something else that might make this prohibitive.Next time I get a visit from on of my fellow Airmen from the day, I'll definitely break these out for some Apfelkorn!
