6/6/22 - initial review 1st use:Let’s remember this is a 3.5 lb anchor.Tried it out this last weekend and it did pretty good. I’ll try to update and show what the salt eats up after some use.Pros:Foldable and packs away nicely.Light enough to not notice it in the back of a sit on top kayak.Once pushed into the sand halfway it was more than capable to keep the kayak anchored even with a person+gear in it.After an hour, it had not drifted more than 2 inches with moderate chop and current. Comes with plenty of rope as anchors normally do better the more rope you let out/less angle.Cons:Design is more like a grappling hook and not like a modern boat anchor meaning it’s not going to secure or bury itself into the sand the more you pull on it so you might have to step on it or push it into the sand. Seems like a fair trade off for being foldable and 3.5lbs.

Perfect for my fiancée and I to anchor on our inflatable paddle boards right off shore! Nice weight and long rope.

This grapnel anchor is really overkill for a kayak/paddle board unless you are in some serious current. Solid materials and works very well. Unless you only use for emergencies, you will likely need to make some sort of spool to hold the anchor line. It can get tangled quite easily.Good for the money.

It’s a great little anchor for a kayak. You can either twist it and open it up so it has four tongs that would grab it to stuff or we can just leave it as a weight

Love this anchor! Light and effective! I carry this on my SUP. My daughter and I attach our boards together and then drop the ancho and it holds both of us. Great purchase!

I am a paddle boarder and I questioned how much this would actually be able to hold two people in a spot when we want to take a break and relax. I used it in a lake and it was moderately windy. It was perfect and we got to lay out and relax. We didn’t drift away at all. I also love that it is easily packable. I have a back pocket in my life jacket that this fits into with other items.

I have not used it yet as soon as I do I will let you know.

Ho preso quest'ancora per il SUP. Fa quello che deve su fondi sabbiosi. Ara un pò quando c'è un pò di onda ma del resto stiamo parlando di un peso contenuto (1,7Kg).Per riposarsi e non farsi scarrocciare va benissimo.

TL;DR – Shipped fast and was as described – an anchor of high quality construction with all required attachments to be effectively used straight away.Bought this anchor to go with my kayaking gear (for fishing / relaxing on lakes) as it was reviewed well and had all the required extras pre-bundled with it.Good:- Shipped fast and item was as described.- Complete bundle (anchor, rope, float and carabineer).- High quality construction (galvanised iron anchor and marine grade rope) which should stand the test of time and seawater assuming good care (remember to wash gear with fresh water after use!).- Nice little carry bag for it all which is a nice bonus.- Makes a great impromptu mallet if you forget yours when camping…Bad:- Perhaps a little heavy compared to some other designs but this is a very VERY minor note – could be an issue if you were carrying a lot of gear.Mixed:- Length of rope may need to be longer for your specific usage.

I bought this for my kayak and it worked well. Easy to store and set up.
