WestinghouseLighting 78264 Nevada 105 cm Indoor Ceiling Fan

Not the first Westinghouse fan I have bought.What I do is construct a wooden box the same width and height as the space between two joists in the loft. Attach the box to the joists. Then the fan can be attached to the box from underneath. Alternately, if this is a first floor and you can't access the space from above, then you usually need to replace a light fitting, and you find the joist the light was attached to.I usually make a round wooden ceiling rose which I ether firmly screw to the box or the joist. the rose can be as little as six inches in diameter, but it gives you a solid base to attach the fan.You can decide for yourself how the fan is operated. By taking over a wall light switch you can replace the switch with a speed control and light switch, or you can just use your existing light switch and use a remote to control the speed and the light on the fan. You can even wire it so the switch controls the light and the remote controls the speed of the fan. Be warned though that the Westinghouse wall controls need really deep back-boxes ( 40-47mm) so you may need to fit a new one if you go down that route.Anyway, the fan usually arrives in bits so it takes a little while to assemble and fit. Once it is fitted you normally have to run it for some weeks before any wobble appears. When that happens you need to buy a balancing kit, which costs a few pounds, and its a really easy job to balance it so there is no movement at all.Great in the summer and even in the winter to stir up the still air and Westinghouse are a real bargain.Amazon page states they are 132cm. They are NOT. They are 105cm.Buy one. No, buy two!

I love the look of this fan and it with 5 blades it creates a good breeze. Annoyingly some of the screws were cross threaded when it arrived and the installation manual isn't particularly clear. I also found that the fan made a loud hum when it was running which was amplified though the roof. I did manage to quiet it down a lot by adding some extra padding under the bracket and using thick rubber tap washers on the mounting screws.Overall a good fan at a reasonable price.

literally the best ceiling fan I’ve seen, and for the price an amazing product. Really well made, sturdy and looks beautiful when all assembled.. really easy to wire up, and was really surprised at how quiet it is when running.It’s really helped to cool the room down in the heat, not tried the winter setting, but if it’s anything like the summer cooling settings, I’ll have no complaints at all

Great all round. Quiet and easy to install, but very secure although I did use my own beefed up wood screws into joist.

German engineering at its best - we have two of these running off a simple wall plug... haven’t really felt the heat wave with these in our bedrooms

I love the appearance of this fan and bought for its ability to reverse direction, pushing warm air down from a high ceiling in winter and to cool in summer. We had to buy an extension due to high vaulted ceiling and separate remote due to height of installation. I spent a lot of time researching products and was reassured the remote purchased would work with the fan. It does, but you can’t reverse fan direction, this must be done by physically switching it over on the unit which is totally impractical given the requirement for a tall ladder to reach it. Gutted as wasted ridiculous amount of money buying all the parts required including extension rod, and draw the line at having to buy an extension ladder too. Was unimpressed with Westinghouse’s response that this is an AC unit and only their DC units switch direction via remote. Perhaps helpful to include this in your product description.

Excellent for the price

Sent first one back the noise was so loud even the Electrition could not believe how loud the humming was, the second fan was quieter but the humming can be heard from out side the room it’s in, I have a Fantasia fan in the bedroom with no noise at all. I have contacted Westinghouse customer service and they don’t want to know , I may take it down and replace with the Fantasia fan.

Its not very big but works well and looks very discreet in a rustic setting. I have it mounted on a high loft beam, and it keeps a 40m2 area from getting stuffy in these hot summers.

The air from a similar sized 3-bladed fan with better blade shapes will do a lot more air. This one is great if you stay within a 3x3 = 9m² area around the fan and not the 20 m² rated. (yes my fan is spinning in the right direction)

Bon ventilateur de plafond, il est sans lumière mais je le savais avant la commande, belle couleur gris foncé de l'appareil et il y a deux couleurs de parles (bois clair et bois foncé d'un côté et de l'autre de chaque pâle)Pas très grand mais dans un salon d'environ 25 m2 deux ventilateurs seront utiles.

Gradevole alla vista, silenzioso, abbastanza facile da installare, pale in doppio colore. Buon prodotto. ( io ho acquistato anche il telecomando è stata un' ottima scelta.
