Extremely quiet and lovely to look at! - A welcome relief to a boiling room
The media could not be loaded. I’ve lived in my flat now for the last six years and each year it seems to be getting hotter and hotter in the late spring/summer months. My bedroom gets especially hot and it stops me sleeping sometimes. I can’t open my windows for safety reasons, I can’t have air conditioning because of building rules and I’ve already tried fans and swamp coolers and they’re just not good enough. I was tearing my hair out when a cousin who lives in Australia suggested I get a ceiling fan as that’s what they use.I did a lot of research before I decided on Westinghouse and even more research on the size and power of the fan compatibility of the fitting with LED bulbs. I decided to get this one as I didn’t want integrated LEDs and I thought this one was the most aesthetically pleasing compared to most of the other choices. It was in the price range I was looking for, from a brand with a brilliant reputation and looked the best too – sold!Technically the fan is too big for my room and the first time I saw it in person (already fitted on my ceiling) it was a bit of a shock BUT I knew it would be before I purchased it. I purposely bought a bigger fan than recommended for the space as I REALLY suffer from the heat in that room and didn’t want to take any risks. What I didn’t realise until it was already fit was that the light function would only be able to be controlled by remote and not by the wall switch – for me this isn’t a problem but it may be for others.Although it comes with a remote already, I really needed it to have a timer function which doesn’t actually come as standard. Instead I bought Westinghouse’s touch screen remote (£50 ish) which my electrician said was as easy to install as the original. Again, I knew this before purchase so it’s not a negative for the fan.Overall I’m extremely happy with this fan! It looks great and high quality, and it REALLY cools the room down fast too!PROS- good brand- high quality- VERY quiet- remote controlled- choice of black or white bladesCONS- remote doesn’t have timer- lowest setting not very useful- light can ONLY be controlled by remote

Great item for a large room.
We bought a house with something this size on a high ceiling in the kitchen and a remote that was in piece so time to replace it. Full disclosure here, I bought an Amazon Warehouse 'open box' item that was approximately a third of the full cost. When It arrived, it looked like someone had opened it, decided it wasn't for them and returned it. Bargain!! It took me a couple of hours to replace the old one and it was soon up and running with some nice LED bulbs in. When its flat out it's like a small helicopter hovering in the kitchen in terms of airflow and not noisy so I'd imagine it's more than enough for most people. There's a couple of things that I do find 1. the 'blades' are black on one side and white the other and possibly due to our ceiling being white and sloping as they rotate it gives the effect that the light is pulsing, dimming ever so slightly as the blades pass areas where light would be reflected from the ceiling, I'm sure this is particular to our setup and not really a big issue. 2 On a couple of occasions we have come home on sunny days to find the fan running or lights on. I assume this is to do with the fact it's a 'simple' infra red remote and is picking up some sort of signal from reflected sunlight as our kitchen has windows on three sides. I'm sure these are little niggles and won't effect everyone.

It's stylish as well as providing good air circulation and light
This ticked all our boxes for the conservatory. It's stylish as well as providing good air circulation and light. Love that it is remote control, too. It did take a bit of assembly, but is well worth it and has prevented us from overheating on sunny days.

Overall an Excellent Product
As the headline says, a great product. The electrician found it a bit fiddly to fit but it works very well. One point that I have rasied with Amazon concerns the remote supplied. It says on the advert that it dims the lights. The one included with my fan did not. It only switches the lights on or off. This may not be a bad thing depending on what you really want. I have found it a challenge to get suitable low energy dimming bulbs that fit inside the shades, so unless it is a requirement as in my case I would not be too concerned.

Overall is good, but don't try the flush mount on a normal ceiling
The fan is easy to install and of good quality. It has the style which fits well with my living room. The only comment I have is the flush mount mode which the supplier claims to support. I first tried the flush mount mode but it did't work at all, very little wind output even at the highest setting. I believe it's due to the blades were only about 17cm from the ceiling. Then I had to disassemble and re-install it using the supplied downrod. It took me almost an hour for the re-work. During the course, I broke one of the glass shades. Ordered the replacement from Amazon.de and waiting for the arrival in a week. Overall I am satisfied with the product but Westinghouse should have done some testing to ensure the fan would work in flush mount mode.

Looks great when up
This is a big ceiling fan that looks absolutely fantastic when up. The electrician found it quite a chore to connect the wires and compress them within the metal housing. it's a heavy fan and I'm glad I put in a support beam between the joists to get it completely centred.

Love this!
I bought this product with some misgivings because of the price and potential awkwardness of replacing my existing lighting in my front room! I need not have worried! The price was right - the product was great quality and easy to fit even though I'm no expert and the purchase was made even more pleasurable when I had a faulty part that needed replacing (broken on supply and a manufacturing fault only) and this was done promptly without any hassle at all! I have a disabled partner who can't always reach a light switch to turn the lights on or the fan function and the remote control is an absolute godsend! So if you want a good quality fan light that looks great when fitted and could also improve your life as described above - it's well worth having and paying the price!
