Excellent stuff
Two years ago we had two cats. Sadly my poor old darling wasn't at all well and decided he would only eat very specific pouch food. First it was Sainsburys mature cat pouches, he wouldn't entertain anything else at all (apart from tuna, obvs, but that's a treat, not a food for them to live on). Living in a very remote location, I arranged to purchase 48 cases of the Sainsburys pouches so he'd always be assured of having it. About 24 cases in, he decided he didn't like that anymore and wouldn't touch it.A period of experimentation followed, ending in him graciously agreeing to eat Sheba pouches. He was prone to acute hyperglycaemic attacks and so I wouldn't give him Hills dry food anymore because it has carbs in it, even though he'd eaten Hills all his life before he got ill. (That wasn't Hills' fault - the poor old lad had acromegaly). Therefore our other cat had to eat pouch food also, although she had been eating Hills too until that point. She seemed happy enough, though not particularly delighted. Sadly my darling boy passed away and we kept on feeding our girl cat pouch food. After a while I noticed her breath was starting to be unpleasant and surmised that she might be getting a bit of plaque. We decided to get her a small bag of Hills Oral Care dry food to clear up any plaque for her, but still offer her the pouches as well, in case she enjoyed the pouches more than we thought.Well... As soon as we started opening the Hills Oral Care bag she came running in and fell on the bowl before it even touched the floor. She ate and ate and ate, and never even sniffed the pouch food again. Her breath smells fine again and she obviously enjoys these biscuits very much.I like Hills because I think they offer very good nutrition. I wish it didn't have carbs in, but I don't see how they could get it to form the biscuits without carbs. We are able to leave a bowl down for her all the time and she just takes a little bit here and there when she's hungry. Wherever possible I always like to enable my animals to manage their own needs; I think it makes them happy to be in control of that. We are all happiest when we can meet our basic needs ourselves.Anyway, she seems really happy, her coat is shiny, her breath sweet and she's active and playful and looks really well. The dry food can be available all the time for her in summer without going off, and there's a lot less packaging than the pouches. Hills is expensive but I will continue to buy it because I think it's the best.

Great product for cats with dental issues
I've been using this for several years with one of mt cats as she has got an issue with recurring dental decay. These larger sized kibbles have an interlaced fibrous centre that encourages the cat to crunch through them, cleaning the teeth in the process. Since switching to this food, she has not had any further dental surgery as it has meant we have kept on top of the decay. It hasn't stopped it completely, but has definitely improved her dental health.

Very large bits of kibble
I didn't realise quite how large the pieces of kibble would be, and that's something to bear in mind for cats with smaller mouths. The taste seems to be acceptable according to my cat - not delicious, but OK.

My cats ate it
I couldn't buy this item at my normal outlet, so bought from here.Recommended by vet, apparently it's meant to help keep their teeth healthy. They eat it, it's not wasted.

My cats love it!
My cats love it, in fact, I think they think it is treats. They are quite fussy, and every cat is different, but they do like this. One of my cats has a slight bit of plaque build up on her teeth and I was told by the vet to get the t/d dry food. Worried that they would not eat it, I decided to opt for the slightly cheaper version. I think the t/d 1.5kg bags are £21 and this being £13.I think it is because the biscuits are bigger than standard dry food, and that is what is meant to help reduce plaque on their teeth. It does slow them down when they eat which is another added bonus.I couldn't tell you if it is helping with the build up of plaque, because there is no way I am checking her teeth, I will lose a finger at the very least. But they like it, and I am more than happy about that.
