Great boots for the price, paid more in the past for inferior quality. Comfy, warm & waterproof, excellent.

Bought these boots to replace a more expensive different brand pair that were bought from a local mountain warehouse that lasted less than a month before seems splitting.I walk the dog at least twice a day in all weather for at least 2 hours a day and these boots are comfortable without having to wear them in, they are waterproof even walking through shallow streams and are holding their own getting much more use over the christmas holidays. Peter storm are a well established name and these boots are looking like they will last a good while. Nice and warm in the cold as well.

An impressive mid range product with excellent attention paid to details. So far found to be very comfortable and waterproof. Do not be put off by the faux leather.

NOTHING TO DISLIKE.

I purchased these boots because it stated they were waterproof, I walked the dog once a day around 3-4 miles in wet conditions, my last pair of boots lasted a good 18 months but my feet kept getting wet. I was pleasantly suprised when I first tried these boots during wet conditions, my feet were wonderfully dry.After approx 5-6 weeks I noticed the surface of the boot started to flake off on the left boot (see image) this got worse and worse to the point they started looking worse than my 18 month old boots, I still wore them out walking because my feet were still dry after a walk however they got steadily worse,the sole of the boot at heal came away on the left boot, then the right boot the surface flaked off in the same manner it did on the left, now the right boot sole has come away completely, I've had these boots 4 months and they are in a right state. I'm actually very dissapointed paying for a pair of boots that cost me £40-50 which really lasted around 6 weeks before they started to fall apart, I walk in wet conditions like everyone does in the winter and I've never had a pair of boots that were waterproof on the inside however the wet absolutely wrecked them on the outside,Probably the worst walking boots I've ever purchased.The image I took in April which was 3 months in, realistically I should have returned them to amazon, Now I've got to buy another pair but I certainly would never buy this brand again.

I see reviews saying these are not waterproof, but the pair I received are so far 100% waterproof.I live on a farm that's low to the water table and it gets boggy here autumn/winter time. I have not got wet feet yet with them.I have only had them a few weeks so we'll see how they hold up, but they seem very sturdy and well constructed with no obvious imperfections. They are not the most breathable ever but I don't expect gore tex type breathability at £54. I wonder if people are just getting slightly sweaty feet and assuming it's water getting in.

Early review as I've just received these boots. They are comfy and fitted nicely out of the box.Will review again after a few months, and report whether they last long, or start to fail as some reviewers have reported.These boots were not expensive but you'd expect at least six months' wear out of them, unless something's very off.I'll find out in due course.We should also expect a decent product and customer service from Peter Storm, and Blacks.
