Q: It says it turns green after being trekked on. Does this stain inside wood, tiles and fibers? What about outdoor decking paint?

Have not had problems with any staining inside or out, including on light colored wood. I also think the color of the product stays pretty faint.

I can't imagine why not. However, composite decking is often slippery and I wonder if the granules in this ice traction product would slide off the areas that were not icy. I've never used it in on anything but cement, pavers, and wood decking. It works well on these.

Q: How does this work on metal stairs?

I've never used it on metal stairs. The purpose of the product is to lie on top of the snow and ice to provide traction. It shouldn't matter what kind of material is underneath.

Q: Is this volcanic rock gravel?

Not gravel like a driveway. Not big like pea gravel & not small like cat litter. Been using it for yrs & it works great for me & my dogs.
