Mild chorizo
I was very excited to receive this chorizo.Who doesn't love chorizo?I ordered it because food in the US does not match the quality of food elsewhere.First, the piece of chorizo was larger than I expected which was a nice surprise.Second, I did not ecpect the paprika to be smoked. I do not like smoked foods. But I assume Italy actually smokes the paprika and doesn't add liquid smoke. Because of the smoked paprika, the chirozo tastes smoked. It is something I will get used to. I look forward to incorporating this into my diet, specifically. Breakfast. A nice organic coffee, some real Swiss guyrere and my new found Italian chorizo!

I feel like at home
I’m from Spain and this chorizo makes the best chickpeas from the Mediterranean. The same brand I used to buy in Madrid. Great quality, traditional, exquisite homemade flavor and texture. Please don’t compare this with the Mexican chorizo from Walmart. It has NOTHING to do and it’s an insult to the original one.For the recipe, typo on Google “receta garbanzos con chorizo y patatas”. And use the translation.

Good but a little bland
Ahhh, chorizo. Why are you so delicious, and yet... so unavailable?I think chorizo is playing "hard to get" with me... it's never available at any of my local supermarkets except in the Mexican variety (which is ground and not dried like this type). If it IS available (Whole Foods, Fresh Market, etc.) it's INSANELY expensive. I cut back a star here, because it's basically no cheaper to get it online than it is to get it from the store. The one benefit is that I don't have to drive for 20 minutes to go pick it up, so that's why I appreciate the convenience of ordering it online. This chorizo was very good. It rendered a nice amount of delicious fat into the pan, and it tasted awesome in the paella that we like to make with it. I think next time I will go for a more spicy variety though. I've never bought anything but mild chorizo in the past, but I think this one was a little too mild for my taste. It was missing that sort of strong... paprika/pepper combo flavor that I really enjoy in chorizo. So just keep that in mind when buying - yes, it's delicious, yes, it gives off a lot of yummy fat, but no, it is NOT the most flavorful variety of chorizo out there.

The best chorizo
This is by far the tastiest Spanish style chorizo. It’s great just by itself or in dishes like the shrimp and chorizo l make. It’s way better than some others l have tried. It’s mild but packed with flavor.

A little goes a long, long, long way.
For the record, I am reviewing: Chorizo Autentico Mild by Palacios. Imported from Spain. 7.9 OunceFirst, if you have ever used the Sweet Smoked Spanish Paprika (imported kind), then you know how strong of a flavor these have. They use that paprika to make this sausage and let me tell you they use a lot. I used this in Jambalaya and in Paella and when I used it the first time I cut slices about a quarter of an inch thick to add to the jambalaya and that was way too thick. I highly recommend that you almost shave these into pepperoni style cuts of meat, and do not use a lot, the taste is overpowering in your dish as the flavor is so strong. I do love it, but you have to get the right amount. I purchased the two pack, and believe me those two are going to last me a year. The last dish I made i uses a total of 10 thin slices and it was just right, gave the rice the best flavor and was not overpowering of the other flavors that I wanted to present in the dish. I have wrapped the unused portion and put it in the freezer and expect it will last forever since it is a dried sausage. Just to that you know, I think the MILD refers to the heat level not the spice level because the amount of spices in this sausage is very high, you can tell by the color when you cut it that it is loaded with spices.

Bid Dissappointment
The Chorizo arrived in a retail plastic and paper bag that was streaked with red grease on the inside. The casing was like leather and the meat was so dry and laden with gristly pieces it was difficult to chew. I would not recommend for culinary use.

well made
First off I'm not Spanish so don't really know what should be good Spanish Chorizo but I know good sausage. Where I live in eastern US their are a lot of speciality butchers that produce some great product. Anyways with this [ham], it was well made, very dense and good flavor but didn't blow me away. A good hard salami from around here, sorry, beats it.Now the mild chorizo I got at the same time I tried dicing some up, fry in a pan with scrambled eggs, boy was that a mistake, so bitter, too much paprika in this chorizo. I quess you have to use this in a dish with rice too absorb some of the bitterness.

Producto en mal estado
El producto llegó en tiempo pero lleno de hongos verde y blanco. Este es un producto para el consumo humano, no debe venderse en esas condiciones y es por eso que considero que es irresponsabilidad del vendedor.
