Our last one began beeping continuously. It came with our RV. My husband was uncertain if he could install it but was happily surprised at the easy of installation. It works well and sets our minds at ease.

I do have the regular carbon monoxide detectors in my house but my paranoia made me to put this one and it works great.

I've had this for about a month and it seems to be working fine. The alarm is loud enough for me (similar to basic home smoke detectors) and since it's a plug-in unit, there is no installation hassle. I keep mine in the kitchen to monitor a gas stove that is getting up in years. I also used a marker to date the back of the unit so I know how long it's been in use. My only issues with this unit is that it's a little too bulky to use with a dual outlet with another plug-in. I sometimes have to unplug it in order to power another tool/appliance. It also takes a few minutes to set every time it's powered on from being unplugged, so keep that in mind.

I have purchased several of these detectors. I have them near my gas stove, gas dryer, and gas hot water heater. Several times they have alerted me that the gas range was left on without being ignited. I purchased one for my daughter after she told me that she came home on day and found her condo full of gas because she left a burner on. She called the fire department and fortunately there was no explosion but a spark from anything could have caused an explosion that would have been a disaster. If you have a gas stove or cooktop, this device plugged in near the stove is as important as having a fire extinguisher nearby.

I installed this detector where I keep my gas bottles. It worked great, even testing it by spilling a bit of propane. Now almost 2 months later, it is constantly going off with false alarms. Other than cutting the wires, the only way to shut the thing up is pointing a fan right at it until it stops.Very disappointing.

Bought this when we first moved into our house -I put it in the basement with gas dryer and furnace- and it had a constant reading of zeroThe reviews were iffy so I wasn’t too sure, but the other day I came home after dropping my son off and heard the beepingThere was absolutely no smell, but we called our gas company to come check it out, turned out there was a leak in the pipe above the dryer, a very slow one that could have ended very badly if this had not notified us

Bought this because I installed a natural gas stove. Better to be safe than sorry
