AquapacMini Waterproof VHF Case - VHF Classic - Outdoors & Tough Conditions

I use the aquapac for wind sports. I fall in the water briefly each session. I carry the aquapac in a fanny pack along with a Garmin Mini in a plastic casing. The plastic of the aquapac is so thin that it easily suffers from small cuts and then is no longer water tight.If the product was made with thicker plastic or made otherwise more sturdy, it would be great. In its current form, it does not work for my particular use. I use another product called a DryPak which has thicker plastic, and is more sturdy and lasts far longer than this one did.Company was nice to offer to send a replacement, so good customer support.

Sealed in my HX40 in and never opened it. Used four days, and the Aquapac leaked lack levers were still closed, and the bag does not appear torn, but it leaked after just a few days on the water wing foiling. I bought it last winter and hadn't used it, so the return period is already over.The HX40 can take some water, but I hoped to greatly extend its life with the Aquapac.

Use a bigger version of these already at work and found them 100% waterproof/robust and needed one myself to keep dry my Amateur Radio handhelds, when out walking in heavy rain. Wasn't sure which size to buy, but opted for the Mini case and found it fits both my Baofeng UV-5R and Kenwood TH-F7 handhelds perfectly. If using either of these radios with an optional extra large/long battery type pack over their standard size you would however need to go the next size waterproof case up.
