AWESOME !
Arrived on time and in tact with no spills. Good price for the 12, I figure, as my town no longer carries this brand and they used to so that was a bummer !!! I found this online and considering it is ALMOST as good as the blue box Kraft sells back home (very slight difference), there really is no other option. I absolutely love this and so does my English pal so we divided it up between us and that will last us about a week. NO LIE if we do not show self control. If you have had the taste of the Kraft blue box growing up and had to find an alternative after moving to England, this fits the ticket. At the price about £ 1.46 a box it is a deal if you only have it as a treat in a meal with just about anything , hot dogs , chicken nuggets , fish, hamburgers, ect. I can not go all year without my mac n cheese so this will do me nicely until I have finished off the 6 boxes. So I say about 6 weeks worth at 1 box a week or 3 weeks if I cook 2 so my husband can have sum as well. I can eat one all by myself through the day. I just cook it and munch on it as go through the day. Works great as a carbohydrate pick up too. If I did not have to share with my husband then this would last me about 6 weeks at spaced intervals so definitely worth the price. The expire date was 2023. Will definitely be buying this again because I can get 2 serving out of one box for myself , one on one day and one the next day as a snack so this was well worth the price. IF I decide to go all out and eat the entire box for lunch as we Americans can do then it is still a bargain as it fills you up for £ 1.46 (cheap treat lunch) and you are set to have a full tummy for the rest of the day.

nostalgic!
i can remember being fed this as a child. compared to my mothers cooking this was a treat! after moving to england i was only able to buy it in one or two shops - but a few years ago it became unavailable to me locally. by that time i'd already introduced it to my son, who also loved it......so....it was a godsend to find it on amazon.basically, it's a fast food version of macaroni cheese - which is a quick meal anyway. for me, it's nostalgia trip. i now have it on a regular order from amazon. if you can't be a*sed to cook - or if your teenage kidult it too lazy/dim too cook, it's the perfect speed food - not to be eaten too often, but very enjoyable when it is eaten. don't believe what is said about the superiority of the blue box canadian version. i tried it. their cheese sauce mix is very nice - creamier, but not cheesier than the red box, but the pasta!... please!... pasta should never be grey. with the blue box, save the sauce powder, but cook up the pasta and add a huge glug of oil and feed it to the birds in your garden. and hope they forgive you....

An Affordable Alternative
I want to get this out of the way first of all - this is not the same as Kraft Macaroni and Cheese (Blue Box). But it's quite close. The differences I noticed between the red and blue boxes:The PastaIt's of a slightly different quality. The blue box pasta is quite thin and greyish to look at and a little bit waxy once cooked. This pasta is closer to the shop bought pasta you can get in Europe. Interestingly though, the red box tells you to cook the pasta for about five minutes which, in my opinion, isn't really long enough. 5 minutes will result in al dente pasta, but if you're looking for a consistency similar to that of the blue box, I find it better to cook it to blue box instructions, which is 8-9 minutes. The Cheese SauceIt's slightly lighter in colour, but this shouldn't make too much of a difference to most people. Even picky kids probably won't notice. It's also much lighter than the American one; kind of dusty. Some of it tends to float out of the sachet once you tear it open, so be careful! It mixes into the pasta much more efficiently though; the blue box one gets a little clumpy when you start to mix it, whereas this one blends right in almost immediately. Taste wise, I found this sauce mix to be far less salty than the blue box version. It tastes less artificial. This could be a pro or con, depending on your tastes. I prefer the fake tasting cheesiness of the blue box version, but you might not!If you grew up on the blue box Kraft Macaroni and Cheese:Stick with it. This one is different enough that you might be disappointed. Better to stick with what you know and love sometimes. With that said though, this version is far more cost effective and similar enough that, if you can adjust to the slightly different taste, you might grow to enjoy it.If you're new to these products and just want to try them:Go for this one. It's close enough to the blue box version for you get a sense of what it's like. I've tried both and I like both. I'll be buying this one in the future.Tips:(If you're looking to make this taste more like the blue box version, these might help.)Cook the pasta according to the blue box instructions, not the red box instructions, to get the right consistency. The cheese sauce isn't as salty, so you may want to add a little more butter than is stated on the box to make up for that. If you're not happy adding more fat to the mix, a very small sprinkle of salt will make a difference, about an eighth of a teaspoon.

Delicious
It’s difficult to find in England, however it’s more popular in Scotland.I’ve found this branded slightly differently from a couple of different suppliers, but it didn’t have as much cheese powder, then they stopped supplying it.I only searched Amazon for it on the off chance and I was delighted to find it.It arrived in a timely manner and it was worth waiting for. And these packets seem to have more cheese powder in.I absolutely adore the stuff as do many of my Scottish friends. My English friends don’t know what it is.I really pleased to find a new supply of it.It’s so simple to make:Boil in hot water and simmer for 4/5mins. Drain, and mix in the cheese powder then serve. You can add a dash of milk and butter as per directions, but I don’t want the extra calories and it doesn’t really taste much different.I will probably be binging on this and will have eaten it within a week lol. Love it!
