Took this thing diving with my GoPro 8 today for the first time. The stick does it's job and is ok for it's purpose. But there's some things that are just a bit weak. It could be none of the units do this well, but the attachment nut and star knob seem overly cumbersome. Is there really not faster mechanism to make this connection fast and undo it just as quickly? Screwing the nut/bolt together every time you want to use this seems like it's just begging for the screw to get lost at some point. It's not too hard to adjust the other knob to flip the camera's orientation around so you can choose a selfie type direction instead of out front. But this requires unscrewing the knob a little, then changing the orientation, then tightening the knob. Why not just allow pulling out a knob an moving the camera? As it is, you need two hands anyway.So, this thing does work well enough, but it's got enough design limitations - just in my opinion - that makes me put it at good/average, but not great.

I used this pole with my GoPro Hero4 Silver on 5 dives in St Thomas in February. It worked really well for getting the camera up close and personal with fish, coral and an octopus. I have only one complaint: the wrist lanyard is petmananetly attached to the handle. I would have rather they had an eye on the end that I could attach my tether to. I rigged up a satisfactory solution, but that one gripe cost them a star. Otherwise, this is a great product

It is very solid extension for heavy DSLR camera, unlike most if not all selfie stick. I will be using solely as a selfie with the help of an Amazon basic wireless remote control for Nikon. Depending on how the camera is loaded on the monopod, one has learn how to aim the remote controller properly to activate the camera.

Rusted solid after 10 dives ... had an earlier version for 10 years. This version rusted in spite of rinsing and lubricating ...

The media could not be loaded.  Great Monopod for use in diving. Used over two dive trips with over 60 dives. Worked Great with my GoPro Hero 3. For 20 dives, added a Waterproof LED Diving Light for Sports Action Camera YOCI 1200mAh Built-in Rechargeable Battery 40m Underwater Video Fill Light and it attached just as well as the GoPro.The segments of the MonoPod extend easily, even with gloves on underwater. Highly recommend this MonoPod. Also takes great Selfies during Back Rolls, even at night.

Easy to use, light, comfortable grip, stores easily for transport or use, adaptable, well built, nice design.

Das Stativ wird bei mir nie als Einbeinstativ benutzt, sondern dient dazu, eine Nikon 1 AW1 Unterwasserkamera vom Ufer aus unter Wasser zu bringen um per Selbstauslöser Fotos zu machen. Die Bastellösung, die ich vorher benutzte, war zwar noch etwas besser dazu geeignet, aber leider nicht rostfrei und ziemlich instabil. Jetzt muss ich aber keine Angst mehr haben, die Kamera zu verlieren. Für den "normalen" vorgesehenen Einsatz ist das Teil sicher sehr gut geeignet und macht trotz des geringen Gewichts einen hochwertigen Eindruck.

Hat den ersten Urlaub perfekt überstanden. Sehr gute verarbeitung. Auch unterwasser (Salzwasser) aufgabe erfüllt. Einsatz mit Panasonic DMC-FT5!!! Auch geeignet für Actioncam(adapter vorhanden)
