It was just as a remember, a really good household soap. Good for washing household items collars cuffs and other things.

Mild carbolic smell, which leaves a pleasant smell on the skin. A good lather can be made even in cold water. Let's you know if the kids have washed their hands by a quick smell of their hands!. An improved version of the soap we used in war years growing up.I didn't realise that it was still made and available. I bought another two packets of three bars of this soap for daily use washing of hands and should kill any germs .

This soap smells...how should I put it...antiseptic - like hospitals. The smell persisted in the bathroom well into the next day but that's ok - I quite like it.After using it I don't think I've ever felt cleaner - it felt like a powerful soap. I want to say that I could feel stinging sensations afterwards but stinging is too strong a word but there was definitely a sensation. My skin felt tight and dry and maybe that's a problem. We all have different skin types and I had previously been using a very mild olive soap so this felt a little agressive. I can't mark the product down because it makes no claim to be gentle. Besides, I bought it to clear up some persistent spots and it did the trick unlike some other brands I tried.I'm very happy with my purchase but, for me, it will be an occasional soap and not an everyday one.

I like the soap its better than most of the other soaps you can get the smell gives cleanliness there is a downside to the soap it makes your skin on your hands dry so arfter you wash your hands moisturiser them it works

With all the panic over Covid19, people were recommending carbolic soap--looked into it, and it jogged my memory that it was good for psoriasis. I have suffered from hand dermatitis for 7 years, I had previously tried that well known coal tar soap that is available in the supermarkets, which made not a jot of difference. I have been using carbolic soap for less than a week, and skin has almost cleared. Over the years I had tried all the treatments the NHS could offer, including tablets to supress the immune system-----one of which was so expensive, if it had not had an effect in a month I had to stop taking it. I had to stop taking it after two weeks, as the kidney and liver tests which I had to take weekly had dropped to a dangerous level !!!!!!!

Soap goes soft too quicklyWould not recommend

Soap is great for daily use but does not smell like carbolic soap so disappointed about that.

Bought for my dad as he loves the smell reminds him of childhood,So what can I say it's great quality and does as it says,Good price too
