I originally tried to replace some rusty hinges on French doors to a indoor pool room, but purchased a square cornered hinge. These fit perfectly and the included screws went right in to the pre existing holes.

This is a solidly built hinge with a nice glossy stainless steel finish. There seems to be many concerns about the fact that the pins can be removed.While this is the case, I think some may have missed the built-in pin removal countermeasures.Next to the center screw of each hinge, there is a hook on one of the face plates. This hook will fit into the opposing hole on the other plate when door is closed. The hook will catch inside the hole if someone tries to remove the door should the pins be removed.Unfortunately, I do not believe the manufacturer provided any literature on this feature. Perhaps worse, there should have been instructions noting that in order for this feature to work, the hook must face towards the opening direction of the door (the direction the door swings open). Or to put it more simply: the pin hole must face up when you're installing this, which is counter-intuitive. A 3rd way to look at this is that the plate with the hook must be on the door itself.The thing to consider is that this feature will only work if there is little to no sideway give between the frame that houses the door and the door itself. Otherwise, the door can slide sideways, whereupon the hook is no longer inside the hole for the catch.The fact that it takes this many words to explain the feature may be why the manufacturer just said "ah, screw it".Then again, I could've just imagined this feature and it was actually designed for something else entirely. Time will tell.

Needed the stainless steel for the exterior door

Bought these to replace my intererior doors from hollow to solid wood. Using 2 per door. Holding up and looking beautiful.

These are true Stainless. Non[zero]-magnetic! Mfg says 300 series which is non-austenic and which will not ‘rust’ generally. One thing NOT mentioned is that the SCREWS are also STAINLESS too! Hence the higher price and true ‘bang for your buck!!!’PS. Someone mentioned the hinge pin can be removed which makes them NOT true ‘security hinges.’ There is a smaller restricted hole where you would need a hardened drive set to remove - doubt you could do it with a “nail” but TWO THINGS:One is that this grade of Stainless is technically classified as SOFT steel so these aren’t ‘bulletproof’ anywho {non-austenic means very little Carbon which is what makes ‘steel’ strong, BUT is actually what “rusts!”}Two is they have a standard “security” interlocking tang, that when installed in sets of three and with proper clearance and fitment, makes it very difficult to remove the door (from the hinge side) should the pins be driven out. This is really about as good as you can get for ALL hinges when used in combo with extra long screws into the door frame.PS. For this security feature to work properly, the TANG side of the hinge MUST be mounted on the door and the Tang must engage the adjacent hinge's hole completely.

This is a good solid hinge. Not designed to remove the hinge pin. Appropriately tight tolerance. It is what I hoped it would be for a 3.5” hinge. I’m using them on an outdoor deck bench seat I built and I expect them to withstand the 4 season weather here. The included screws were only 3/4” so separately I purchased 2” (9x2”) screws , (6 per hinge)
