Some lessons and examples may seem simple though it is often this simplicity in our communications with others that we need help remembering. The lessons that can be learned by this books esoteric, yet practical knowledge, is without parralel. This book has been in print a long time for very good reason and will stay in print for a very long time to come.Makes a great gift should you know of a friend or loved one that is struggling with health or relationship issues, even work related issues, just about anyone will love this little gem of a book.

One of my favorite books of all time. Contains way too much knowledge for such a small set of pages, many authors and modern books go to great lengths to explain its most easiest principles. The art of war has been a guide in many parts of my life since military strategy is not only about war and destruction but of man's struggle for survival. I always recommend this book for anyone trying to find simple principles that guide life.

Great read for any person who is into history and war strategies. You can use this information in real life. The translation made sense and most of the time I did not rely on the the deciphered passages. Great read and makes you really appreciate the ideas of strength and courage and the power of emotions and desire in overcoming any obstacle you face.

I love having this book as a digital book because I can find passages easily . I have had this book for many years, but it is now much more reader friendly. The book itself is a roadmap to enjoying a stress free life. It's like having a mentor by your side at all times.

Now I know what SUN TZU means when a fomous general refers to this book. At Waterloo napolian made all the mistakes. First he underestimated the fight in in the enemy, he fought the battle uphill in knee deep mud and he was surprised by enemy reinforcements at the critical moment of the battle. If he had read SUN TZU he would not have fought the battle at all at that time and place.

Highly recommend to anyone interested in better understanding the application of strategy and tactics in the arena of business or competition.

If you live a life, this is a must-read. If you deal with people at all, read it. If you're in business, this is a must-read. Yes, it's historical, but there is so much to be gleaned from it each time you read it. Read it.

If I could rate it with zero starts I gladly would. There's nothing wrong with Sun Tzu's writing. There is however, everything wrong with the excessive butting in made by the extra commentators. Not only is their pointless introduction longer than the original book, their colorless comments interrupt the entire flow of the book also. Zero stars for this version.

I’ve read a lot of self help books etc - but this one - I just couldn’t get into it. Maybe I purchased the wrong version or I had heard too much hype of it.Fell way below my expectations

Disappointing

Sun Tzu's concise maxims for success in war are more generally applicable to any competitive sphere of life and, being based on an understanding of human nature, which is universal and unchanging,remain relevant today.

Classic. Nothing to say that hasn't been said. You need to read this once on your life

Can't get away with this edition, bought a better edition else were.
